The sandwiches here are LOADED with meat and delicious. You know how Subways pictures of their subs show tons of meat, then you go get one and it has 4 slices of paper thin meat on it....WELL, NOT HERE !!! These sandwiches puts Subways pictures to shame. Fast friendly service to top it off.

Great people, amazing food and great prices on meat by the pound.

Staff is rude, the food is so-so, and the prices are on the high side for what you'd expect from a place that serves its food on paper plates. The only "prop" they get from me is that they are local. That's it.

The food is great. It’s the workers that always do things wrong. they never get my order right like ever & I’ve found hair in my burger once...

Something for everyone and they make you feel welcome. I have been eating here for years. Don't want pasta? Get a sandwich they have lots to choose from both hot and cold.

I really enjoyed the Chicken Parm sandwich I got from Giovanni's. They were quick to get my order out, and the food was fresh and crisp. I definitely will be back, and I look forward to trying their pasta options.

We were looking for a good chicken parm sandwich. Tried theirs. It was small but good. Would have it again.

Excellent experience. The staff were exceptionally nice and the food is really good. I had the chicken alfredo the first time and spaghetti the next day. Both were great, and I loved the garlic bread that came with it. Highly recommended. I'll definitely be going back

Tried the namesake deli sandwich. The salami has the most amazing flavor, the olives were heavily... and then there was the capicola!!! Mozzarella cheese was some of the best I've ever tasted. The onion rings are thick cut rings hand battered and fried to perfection! If a cold deli sandwich is this good, I can only imagine how good the food out of the kitchen tastes!!!

This is a clean, friendly environment. The owners are incredible people. Tonight I needed to feel at home, I was so grateful they were open. I was greatest with warmth and felt like I was at home with family. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. Their sauce and meatballs are authentic and made from scratch. The best meatballs and sauce. Exceptional food quality, food taste is consistent,food quality is also consistent. It was hot and stayed hot, heated evenly just like it was a fresh batch. If you have not been here if you decide to go, I promise you will not be disappointed. They also have a deli where you can get Italian meats. Clean inviting restaurant. If your from out of town and want to eat out but not experience the same old drab frozen foods your charged an arm and leg for and need to feel at home. Visit Giovanni's family owned and operated. Giovanni's is one of my favorite places. I do not live near and drive 30 to get their lasagna and garlic bread. Very generous portions and excellent staff and owners.

Picking up an order that I placed, service was Pleasant and fast, the best part the order was prepared quickly, keep up the great work.

We have had both take out and dine in here. We are foodies and LOVE finding hole in the walls. I think oddly enough I love that they aren’t there to impress others because our food was served on Styrofoam but it’s because there food is THAT good. Had a meatball sub the first time and I love love love how the sauce is sweet! Chicken Parm the second time and it was impressive. We will be visiting here again and again ❤️💢

This is an old style family owned deli. It serves sandwiches, pasta, and sell sliced deli meats. The sandwich I had was huge and delicious.

Giovanni's is one of our favorites. Not fancy at all - we're talking styrofoam plates and 1980s diner furniture here. I usually get plain old spaghetti and meatballs. It always comes out hot and tastes like home cooking. My wife swears by the ravioli, but I gotta go easy on the cheese so I haven't had those.Best thing about this place is the garlic bread. It's straightforward, soaked in butter, and works great to sop up all your sauce. They are generous with both the sauce and the bread. They know what's good!

Seriously the Best Pasta in the northland. This is a hidden gem. A must try. I'd give it 10 stars if I could . The ravioli is mouthwatering. The sausage is so soft and flavor is knock you off your feet delish 😋 and oh my the meatballs!!

This place is amazing, they have all the classic Italian dishes, prepared by actual Italians. The food is fresh and they even have Italian meats for sale by the pound, definitely a place visit if you are in Gladstone, MO. I have been coming here as a kid and will definitely be coming back again and again!

I have come here for a long time came through the other day and tried the cheese ravioli which is $8 and there were three raviolis the size of a silver dollar. There portions have been getting smaller for a long time, but now if there going to cheap out so hard. I'll never be back here, go to Dominic's on North oak. It a little further but it's better food with two meal portions. Somehow they're the same price for more. It's almost like they care about their customers or something there

Delicious. Everytime I have been here everything has been great. I always ask them to make a chicken parmesan sub and they happily accommodate me even though it's not on the menu and its delicious. We have also gotten the burgers which are surprisingly big and great tasting. My kids like the cold cut subs. They also have a drive thru!!!

Best food! 6 stars! I adore this place and the wonderful family that own it. It feels very nostalgic.

Let me just say WOW!!! these guys know what they're doing! Me and my fiance went in today to try out a new place for dinner and we are completely blown away! The Reuben sandwich is one of the best I've ever had! Tasted like I was at my grandparents house 😍 the homemade potato salad is 👌👌👌. Battered mushrooms 😍 everything was so fresh and delicious!! They have definitely made lifelong customers with us!Food 100/10Hospitality 100/10Everything was amazing!

Consistently high quality of service and food.I am always served promptly and courteously. The food is always in a good ratio to its price, with exceptional flavor. I am never shorted on what I expect from the food I purchase. Thank you for your integrity, Giovanni's.P.S. I travel 3 times as far to go here than go to Dominic's, because Dominic's likes to short folks on food (check out my review of that.)

Great food, reasonable prices and fast service

I was wary because of the low reviews that I've seen. The food was good. I was expecting a little more fancy of a place, but they had a good variety. Very small and homey. Our food came up in about five minutes which completely surprised me. It was on Styrofoam plates, but that's just appearances. I got the beef ravioli with an it Italian sausage link and my boyfriend got a build your own sandwich. The sandwich came with a lot of meat and was pretty good. The ravioli sauce was sweet but overall was good too. Our only complaint really is the price. Both of our meals really shouldn't have cost so much - for the 2 of our meals plus waters to drink, it cost $20.

This is a great deli with fresh, delicious food! We had sandwiches and some sides and everything was fantastic. Bring your appetite because the portions are large! Will definitely be coming back to try more items.

The food is overpriced and not very good. And to make it worse the staff are super rude and argumentative for no reason. It’s uncomfortable to say the least oh and they microwave almost all the food on the foam plates they serve your food on. If I could give this place 0 stars I would.

Reubens were soggy and mushrooms were not cooked all the way.. Disappointing.

The best Italian steak sandwich ever. The crust is perfection. The meatballs were amaze-balls! Delicious! The service was excellent as well.

A classmate of mine in college introduced me to this place. Its been about a decade since I was able to come eat here since moving away and I 'm glad its still open . The food is delicious and filling , the prices fair. I just wish they served food in real dishware. Next time I am up North I'll have to revisit.
